It’s both clever and a bit clunky, and I guess polling is supposed to be on the way from the googleplex. In the meantime, here’s one way to do it…

HOW YOU CAN MAKE POLLS USING GOOGLE PLUS – workaround

We all know that for the moment there’s now official way of doing Polls on Google Plus. However, you can use a simple workaround. The steps are:

1. Ask a question
2. Quickly add the possible answers as the first comments.
3. People hit +1 on the comment they vote for.
4. Disable comments. A lot of people will start commenting about their choise and forget to +1 it the way they should.

Example: What browser are you using mostly? Go at the beginning of the comments, plus one on the browser you like and then RESHARE THE POST and ask people to +1 their choises on the original post so it can be relevant and they understand the point.

Nobody seems to be sure who invented it, but I saw this via +Pete Cashmore and also +Natalie Villalobos , who shared it from +Ahmed Zeeshan, although is possible that +Matt Cutts used it first.
